I am trying to be optimistic. I am trying to believe that all of this effort on the part of President Obama to get a health care bill passed is going to be some kind of victory. I want to believe that it will open the door just enough to make other REAL reforms possible.

But then I listen to Dr. Oz on the Letterman show. His comment - what is being passed amounts to a "hill of beans" because it lacks what I have been moaning about all of these months - PREVENTION.

Will the bill that might be passed create an opening for true reform that allows us to get out from under the yoke and whip of the AMA and the pharmaceutical industry?

The jury is still out. Watch this space.
