The Death of Democracy

It is official. The veil has been lifted - the trend for this year. The Supreme Court has lifted a ban that has limited corporate campaign contributions. The result? Candidates for sale to the highest bidder.

Does anyone remember Li'l Abner - "What's good for General Bullmoose, is good for the USA!"

Today is the day. And democracy has officially died.

Rather than rant, I would like to give a 9-Star Ki oriental astrological interpretation...For those who don't know this system and want to learn more, contact me directly or check out my book on Nine Star Ki, listed on this site.

America is an 8Earth/7Metal country. In this year, a 9Fire year, America's numbers have been in the houses of 3 and 4 Tree. Lot's of ideas, often ungrounded. It has been a general state of experimentation. That is, in terms of the economy, the environment, health care - lots of floating ideas to explore, but not much foundation.

These houses are also about freedom and independence - so the breaking of conventions, bending the rules is possible - but not always well thought out.

This month is a 3 tree month, with 8 sitting in the house of One and 7 sitting in the house of Nine. In the gridlock of earth (8) sitting in water, lawmakers (represented by the house of 9) have decided to dupe the American psyche into thinking that this move today - the 21st being an 8 Earth day - is good for freedom. After all, shouldn't corporations have just as much rights as individuals?

With this being an 8 Earth day, it means that this is a statement on the condition of America today. With corporations control 51% of the flow of money in America, we shall now see Coke signs on Airforce One and inaugurations brought to you by Maxwell House - good to the last drop.

Today is the 4th day of rain in California. This is good for the soil. It is renewing the earth. And perhaps it is an earth shedding tears - tears that will help dissolve a union that is bloated and badly in need of a good cleanse.
